We’re celebrating 50 Years of Relief with a variety of fun events!
50th Anniversary Schedule of Events
Friday, July 31
- 4pm – Antique Tractor Display Opens (Tractors 50 years and older). Weather permitting, Mahlon Schmucker will be displaying the car he and his new bride drove to the first Relief Sale in 1966.
- 4pm – Silent Auction Opens
- 6:30 pm – Anniversary Variety Show featuring the talents of Tim Shue, John Schmid and Les Gustavson-Zook. This creative team of musicians will perform original songs, skits and entertainment celebrating the history of the Relief Sale. A “Grab Bag” Auction will be part of the evening entertainment. This is a show you won’t want to miss! Moody Radio’s Mark Zimmerman will be MC for the evening.
- Historical Display featuring old photos and articles from the past 50 years.
- Commemorative items will be for sale, including mugs, calendars and coasters.
Saturday, August 1
- Enjoy the 50 foot Anniversary Cake – presented by local bakeries.
